DESCRIPTION:#AwitParaSaBata\nEvent Title: #AwitParaSaBata\nDuration: August 2 – November 21\, 2024\nDescription: Calling all children and young people ages 13 to 24 years old who love music and have the passion for song writing! \nIn line with the 16th AKO PARA SA BATA (I am for the Child) Conference\, the Child Protection Network Foundation\, Inc. and UNICEF Philippines is looking for the official song of the AKO PARA SA BATA Conference. \nSubmit your entries thru this Google Form: https://bit.ly/awitparasabata on or before September 1\, 2024\, 11:59 PM. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interview. \nQUALIFICATIONS\n– Young people ages 13 to 24 years old. Children with disabilities are very much welcome to join.\n– Filipino citizen\n– Loves music and has basic songwriting skills \nMECHANICS \n\nAn individual or a group of 2-3 young people ages 13 to 24 years old may submit an original composition with the following criteria\n– Theme is child protection\n– Lyrics should contain the phrase AKO PARA SA BATA\n– Can be in Filipino\, English\, or any dialect (If non-English and non-Filipino\, provide translation in English or Filipino)\n– Any style or genre\n– 2 to 3.5 minutes long\nSubmit your entries thru this Google Form: bit.ly/awitparasabata on or before September 1\, 2024\, 11:59 PM. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interview.\nA panel will screen and evaluate the submissions\, and selected participants will be shortlisted to the panel interviews.\nAn online interview will be scheduled from September 16-21\, 2024 to decide the finalists who will join the workshop.\nThe finalists will use their submitted entries as material for a workshop focusing on song arrangement. The workshop will be facilitated by experts in OPM music\, and will be headed by national artist for music\, Maestro Ryan Cayabyab. It will be held in Metro Manila on October 5\, 2024. Output of the workshop will be the enhanced song pieces of the finalists. The venue\, meals\, workshop materials and Php2\,000 transportation allowance for each qualifying young person with an adult companion will be covered by the Organizer. Travel expenses exceeding Php2\,000 will be covered by the participant.\nA panel of judges will select the song(s) that will become the very first official theme song(s) of the AKO PARA SA BATA Conference.
